1. Come decidete quali canzoni includere in un album?

Di solito si sceglie un argomento che possa collegare le varie canzoni, una specie di "concept", o comunque troviamo un filo conduttore per dare coerenza al tutto.

 

2. Cosa possiamo aspettarci dal vostro prossimo album?

Probabilmente un evoluzione verso qualcosa di più energetico e meno depressivo, ma sempre nello stile Acidground.

 

3. C’è qualche genere musicale che vorreste esplorare in futuro?

Come già accennato nella domanda precedente, vogliamo aggiungere più energia e potenza, quindi più Stoner o Grunge alla Soundgarden, e meno ambientazioni Dark.

 

4. Quali sono i vostri piani futuri?

Essere più presenti a livello produttivo e social, e trovare qualcuno che capisca il valore del nostro sound per distribuirlo al meglio

 

 

     5. Come nasce una Vostra canzone?

 

Semplicemente sento una musica in testa che mi piace, e in automatico mi viene un argomento che potrebbe legarsi, in dieci minuti faccio il cantato, in mezz'ora il testo.

 

      6. Qual è stata la canzone più difficile da scrivere e perché?

 

 Tutte quelle che riguardano fatti personali, soprattutto diventano difficili da cantare.

 

       7. Quali sono i vostri obbiettivi a lungo termine come band?

 

Intanto per ora siamo un duo e per i live sarebbe difficile. Sicuramente uscire con un' etichetta, e  migliorare le nostre produzioni, sicuramente fare un LP.

 

        8. Qual è il miglior consiglio che avete ricevuto nella vostra carriera musicale?

 

Uno che serve per tutto, se ci credi veramente, non mollare mai.

 

 

APATHY:

SHE LIES:

ACIDGROUND è un duo musicale che unisce il Grunge, lo Stoner e il Dark/Doom, con influenze da band come Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Type 0 Negative e Kyuss. Il nome ACIDGROUND significa "terreno acido" e rappresenta tutte le avversità della vita che affrontiamo ogni giorno.

Il duo è composto da Vins (Bound) e Fabrizio (Drago Balcano), due anime opposte ma complementari. Le loro copertine, che raffigurano sempre mani in varie situazioni, esprimono la molteplicità e la profondità delle esperienze umane. La copertina del loro primo EP, *Evil Blues*, raffigura una mano che emerge dal terreno, simbolo della determinazione a superare ogni avversità.

ACIDGROUND è un viaggio musicale attraverso le ombre e la luce, raccontando le esperienze che hanno forgiato il duo e la loro lotta per emergere dalle difficoltà della vita. La loro musica è una testimonianza della resilienza umana e della capacità di trovare speranza anche nei momenti più bui.

Vins, nome d'arte Bound ("legato"), è l'anima dark del duo. Ha iniziato a muovere i primi passi nel mondo musicale con cover band all'età di 18 anni, partendo dal punk e dal rock. Successivamente si è cimentato con molti altri generi musicali, creando così un'esperienza vocale originale e completa. Passando dal Pop al Reggae, fino al Metal Estremo, ha iniziato a comporre testi per altri musicisti, innamorandosi del Grunge e dello Stoner Rock.

Nel 2013 ha conosciuto Fabrizio e ha prodotto con lui quello che rappresenta a tutti gli effetti il prototipo dello stile che il duo avrebbe adottato in futuro. Per varie vicissitudini legate alla lontananza, il progetto è uscito sotto il nome di "Fabrizio Sodaro - Rise the Sun". Da quel momento, Vins ha dedicato sempre maggiore attenzione agli stili Grunge e Stoner, creando da solo tutte le composizioni fino a oggi conosciute degli ACIDGROUND, che rappresentano una miscela personalizzata di questi due generi musicali. Insieme a Fabrizio ha anche avviato un progetto Cyber Rock/Metal, gli *HybridCode*.

Fabrizio Sodaro, conosciuto anche come "Drago Balcano", è il cuore spirituale degli ACIDGROUND. È un musicista affermato con diversi progetti musicali che spaziano dal Metal al Rock, dal Blues al Reggae. Fabrizio ha trovato ispirazione anche in progetti yoga e live session, componendo musica meditativa e profondamente spirituale. Fra le sue opere troviamo il progetto *Palmood* di musica strumentale, l'EP in stile Hard Rock/Grunge *Rise the Sun* insieme al cantante Bound, e collaborazioni con David A. Delgado in "I Am a Lion" e "Osanna", oltre ad altri lavori come "La Verdad", "Rachat" e il progetto "HybridCode". Collabora anche con artisti come Alex Cosentino, con il quale ha lavorato su "Think Nothing", e ha composto musica per un documentario del Comune di Cervo Ligure.

Ha suonato in varie band, tra cui "Last Rites", "Bizar Bazar" e "Red Serpi". Attualmente è chitarrista e compositore del progetto musicale cantautorale Balkan/Folk *Garibaldi*. La sua rinascita artistica è iniziata nel 2015, dopo un grave incidente che gli ha fatto perdere l'uso della mano sinistra. Durante il periodo di recupero, Fabrizio ha composto tre brani del suo LP "Journey of Soul" utilizzando solo un tablet, dimostrando una straordinaria forza interiore. Ha collaborato con numerosi artisti e partecipato a vari eventi in tutto il mondo, portando il suo talento anche in luoghi come San Francisco, Messico e Francia.

 

 

1. How do you decide which songs to include in an album?  

We usually choose a theme that can connect the various songs, a sort of "concept," or we find a common thread to give coherence to the whole work.  

 

2. What can we expect from your next album?  

Probably an evolution toward something more energetic and less melancholic, but always true to the Acidground style.  

 

3. Is there any musical genre you’d like to explore in the future?  

As mentioned in the previous question, we want to add more energy and power, leaning towards Stoner or Grunge like Soundgarden, and moving away from darker atmospheres.  

 

4. What are your future plans?  

To be more active in terms of production and on social media, and to find someone who understands the value of our sound to distribute it better.  

 

5. How does one of your songs come to life? 

I simply hear a melody in my head that I like, and automatically, an idea for a theme comes to mind. In about ten minutes, I create the vocals, and in thirty minutes, the lyrics are done.  

 

6. Which song was the most difficult to write and why? 

All the ones that deal with personal experiences—they become especially difficult to sing.  

 

7. What are your long-term goals as a band? 

For now, we are a duo, which makes performing live challenging. Certainly, we aim to sign with a label, improve our productions, and eventually release an LP.  

 

8. What’s the best advice you’ve received in your music career?  

It’s a piece of advice that applies to everything: if you truly believe in it, never give up.

Vins, stage name Bound ("bound"), is the dark soul of the duo. He began his musical journey in cover bands at the age of 18, starting with punk and rock. Over time, he explored many other musical genres, developing a unique and well-rounded vocal style. From Pop to Reggae and even Extreme Metal, he eventually started writing lyrics for other musicians and fell in love with Grunge and Stoner Rock.

In 2013, he met Fabrizio and produced what essentially became the prototype of the style the duo would later adopt. Due to distance and other circumstances, the project was released under the name "Fabrizio Sodaro - Rise the Sun." Since then, Vins has devoted increasing attention to Grunge and Stoner styles, independently creating all the compositions known today as ACIDGROUND, representing a personalized blend of these two genres. Together with Fabrizio, he also started a Cyber Rock/Metal project called *HybridCode*.

Fabrizio Sodaro, also known as "Drago Balcano," is the spiritual heart of ACIDGROUND. He is an accomplished musician involved in various musical projects ranging from Metal and Rock to Blues and Reggae. Fabrizio has also drawn inspiration from yoga projects and live sessions, composing meditative and deeply spiritual music. Among his works are the instrumental music project *Palmood*, the Hard Rock/Grunge EP *Rise the Sun* with vocalist Bound, and collaborations with David A. Delgado in *"I Am a Lion"* and *"Osanna"*, as well as other works like *"La Verdad"*, *"Rachat"*, and the *HybridCode* project.
